Some various bits and pieces to kill time at the end of your work day:
- Naomi has a great post for anyone looking for info on this year’s Hard Working Class Heroes Festival. Fairly comprehensive, this is well worth checking out for any acts you want a crash course in before you head to Dublin.
- Darragh blogs on his night spent in Failte Towers. It’s ok, it’s much more entertaining than the God-awful TV show.
- Speaking of, check out this nasty piece of journalism. The target? Poor granny’s favourite Bibi Baskin.
- Back to music after that lil detour, here’s an excellent article on what’s wrong with the UK’s indie scene.
- The Guardian on the divide caused by Katy Perry’s music. Funnily enough the divide is actually due to the potentially homophoic slant of her music, and not due to the fact that it’s shit.
Finally some random news tid-bits – This week saw Be Your Own Pet and Wolfmother split, the latter possibly due to what Trent said. Possibly not.
Good news: Neon Neon play Tripod November 4!
Bad News: November 4 is a Tuesday. Half of Guess List won’t be able to go. See also Iver, Bon.
Have a good weekend!
