Goldsoundz makes its welcome return to Cork next Saturday, September 6. From the good people who bring you the long running and much loved Freakscene club night Goldsoundz promises to offer something a bit different to Saturday nights in Cork city.
Opening night sees the usual Goldsoundz cocktail selection return to a bar near you, complimented with a chef commissioned to mark the occasion in style.
“Much of the music will be similar to the alternative room in (old) Goldsoundz, however the venue screams jazzy loungey retro cool, so do also expect songs like Curtis Mayfield’s ‘Move On Up’, Dusty Springfield’s ‘Spooky’, acts like Marvin Gaye, perhaps a track by The Zombies… and maybe the odd Jazz or Swing track. Tasteful and eclectic is our aim!” say the organisers themselves, who have given us two pairs of passes for the opening night.
