Adebisi Shank are making some of the most explosive, exciting and plain brilliant music to be heard in Ireland right now. Technically dazzling without being too flashy; riffs and melodies are cranked out a ridiculous pace. It makes for quite a unique racket, one that Guess List is very fond of – their debut EP was easily one of the best things we heard last year.
They’ve established a solid reputation on the back of the EP and their frentic live shows; touring as far afield as Japan. Now Adebisi Shank are ready to unleash their debut album ‘This is the album of a band called Adebisi Shank‘ which comes out on September 11th via the Richter Collective.
If you’re in Cork on the 11th, you should head to The Whiskey to catch their album launch with support from the excellent (and oh so loud) Bats. Tickets are €10 from Plugd Records.
The rest of their Irish dates are as follows:
12 Sept – Cleere’s Theatre, Kilkenny
15 Sept – Hideaway House w/Heathers, Dublin
20 Sept – Mc Donalds Pub w/Enemies, Wexford
26 Sept – Boom Boom Room w/Kidd Blunt, Dublin
4 Oct – Metro Club @ Fletchers, Waterford
12 Oct – Baker’s Palce w/Lite, Limerick
13 Oct – Lavery’s Bunker w/Lite, Belfast
“The imagination on show here, even at this early stage, is frightening.” – Rough Trade Records (UK)
“Adebisi Shank are one of the most exciting live bands in Ireland right now” – Rock Sound [UK]
