Both U2 concerts in Croke Park are sold out – expect a third date to be added!

Brian Boyd seems certain that Fleet Foxes, Fleetwood Mac, Lady Sovereign, and Green Day (usually a regular feature at Oxegen) will be on the Electric Picnic line-up.

The Meteors took place this week, with the awards for best band and best album being won by The Script. Click here to see all the winners.

GIGS

Cork – Jinx Lennon plays the Pavillion tonight with Los Langeros, while the wonderful Heathers are playing in The Quad with Hooray for Humans.

Dublin – Earplugs ready? Mogwai are kicking off their 3-night residency in the Academy tonight. Also tonight: mashup party guy Girl Talk is in ALT, while Crayonsmith, giveamanakick and Dublin Duck Dispensary are in Whelans.

Scottish experimental folk siren Nalle will be playing in The Joinery gallery in Dublin with Cian Nugent and The Family Elan on Saturday the 18th of April.

Road Records have issued a statement following last weekend’s ‘One For The Road’ fundraiser, thanking those who organised/played/attended the event. Still no word on the future of the store though – watch this space…

Bloc Party’s Intimacy is to get a remix launch in May with Armand Van Helden and Mogwai amongst the acts trying their hands at improving the so-so source material.

Comedian Matt Berry (of Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace, Snuffbox, The IT Crowd etc) has released an album! Titled Witchazel, he’s giving it away free online.
