Death Cab For Cutie announce Irish date
American indie act Death Cab For Cutie are to play Dublin’s Ambassador on Thursday November 13.
The band will be touring to promote their sixth studio album ‘narrow stairs’ which was released last May.
RIAA shuts down Muxtape
As of today, the popular ‘online mixtape’ site muxtape.com is unavailable to internet users following intervention by those cheery folks in the RIAA.
Any muxtapes previously created will be unavailable, including Guess List’s EP mix – instead visitors will recieve the following message:
A statement on Muxtape Tumblr reads “No artists or labels have complained. The site is not closed indefinitely. Stay tuned.”

New Bloc Party album released – this week!
Sex Pistols’ favourite Bloc Party have announced that their third album Intimacy is to be released this Thursday, August 21.
The surprise launch was announced on the band’s website, where the album is available for pre-order. The digital version will be delivered on the 21st of August (Thursday), and the CD will arrive on the 27th of October with new tracks.
The band revealed the surprise release in a live webchat with fans.
